Community Arts Practitioners/Workshop Leaders, Made in Corby
Deadline: Tue 31 Jul 2018
Made in Corby is a community-led arts programme which produces events and activities designed to surprise, delight and inspire local people. The programme aims to inspire the Corby community to take the lead in experiencing, creating and taking part in high quality arts and cultural activities. We are looking for proposals from practitioners of all art forms who specialise in working in community settings with Early Years and Older People.

Made in Corby will be running a series of pilot activity in children's centres and sheltered housing across Corby in Autumn 2018. These pilot sessions will be chosen by our community decision making panel and will inform a larger project throughout 2019 aimed at increasing engagement with Early Years children, families and Older People. The aim of these pilot sessions is to give participants a taste of a selection of activities, enabling them to choose which they would like to explore further as part of a year long project. All of Made in Corby's work is delivered in collaboration with the community.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from artists who have a background in working in health and wellbeing settings and would create their workshops/sessions to have wellbeing focussed outcomes.

Artists must have experience and understanding of working in collaboration with participants and a commitment to community engagement. Workshop sessions will be generally an hour long but may vary therefore this role would be most suited to artists who are local to Corby or within reasonable travelling distance. Artists must hold a DBS (dated within the past 2 years and hold valid public liability insurance of at least £5million

Fee: Between £25-£40 per hour dependant on experience (please outline if your workshop proposal requires a materials/equipment budget)
