Creative Workshop Facilitator - School Holiday Club
Deadline: Tue 4 Apr 2017
Arts Development at North Lincolnshire Council are seeking creative individuals to lead activity sessions for young people, on a freelance basis

The creative sessions will be part of the new School Holiday Club provision being piloted in summer half term, led by Sports, Leisure and Culture at North Lincolnshire Council. The School Holiday Club will be aimed at children aged 8-14, providing both childcare for working parents and a quality engagement for the young people. We are initially looking for facilitators on Thursday 1st June 2017 to deliver a range of sessions between 8am and 6pm at Baysgarth Leisure Centre in Barton upon Humber. There may be additional work for the right facilitator.

There will be an additional member of staff provided by the School Holiday Club team on site at all times, so the Creative Facilitator isn't expected to deal with pastoral issues.

Facilitators must be able to deliver high quality creative sessions, with an accessible and inclusive approach. Sessions can include any artform e.g. dance, drama, media, visual arts etc. and be any length e.g. one hour, two hours, full day etc. We expect 40 young people to attend the Club, so are looking for activities for that number, or 20 young people at a time, rotating them between two activities.

Applicants must apply by sending the following to the Arts Development Officer by Tuesday 4th April:

• Proposal for the session including content, duration and number of participants

• Copy of their CV including relevant experience and qualifications

• Quote for delivering the session (to include all associated expenses including materials)

• Copy of their public liability insurance

• Copy of their valid DBS clearance (if a DBS is unavailable, this can be arranged through North Lincolnshire Council for a fee)

Payment will be made upon invoice, and income tax and national insurance will be the artists’ responsibility. Applications are welcomed from both individual freelancers and organisations.

Contact the Arts Development Officer via email chelsey.everatt@northlincs.gov.uk with any questions.
