Creative Writing Workshop Leader, Writing West Midlands

Writing West Midlands runs the largest programme of creative writing activities for young people in the country. For 10 years our groups have been growing, and we now run more than 200 writing workshops a year. We are looking for established writers to help inspire the next generation of creative writers.

You will lead one of our Spark Young Writers groups for 10 monthly sessions (2 hours per session), with the help of a volunteer Assistant Writer. Our groups are limited to 15 participants in libraries, museums and art galleries around the West Midlands. Our groups are for young people between the ages of 7 – 11, 10 – 15 and 12 - 17. Part of READ On, a Creative Europe project.

Vacancies across the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Worcester, Evesham, Coventry and Stoke on Trent.

Fee: £105 per session, plus reasonable travel expenses within the region.
