The site has an extraordinary creative and architectural history stretching back to the 1951Festival of Britain. Southbank Centre is home to the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and the Hayward Gallery as well as The Saison Poetry Library and the Arts Council Collection.  In March 2013, Southbank Centre launched its proposals to transform the Festival Wing, including the refurbishment of the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and Hayward Gallery complex and the creation of new arts and cultural spaces, which will provide more art for more people in better spaces.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our dedicated Resource Planning team, who work hard to deliver accurate and timely planning and administration for the whole of the Visitor Experience department.

The role will be key to ensuring that we deliver a world-class visitor experience during each of our programmed festivals, through meticulous forward-planning and coordination.  Drawing on your experience of working on complex administrative projects and staff scheduling, you will need to demonstrate a wide understanding of the varied challenges faced by a busy operational team, and apply that in your day to day working.  Supporting the Visitor Services Management Team with all aspects of festival planning – from signage design to staffing budgets – you’ll need a scrupulous eye for detail and a head for figures.
