General Manager, Apples and Snakes

Apples and Snakes seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking General Manager. Financially astute, the post holder will be excited by the opportunity to be part of the senior leadership team to implement our new strategy alongside overhauling systems, and creating effective new strategies for measuring impact.
With a core mission to champion poets and poetry, amplify unheard voices and challenge expectations of what poetry can be, Apples and Snakes is the leading organisation for spoken word poetry in the UK.
Dynamic and forward thinking with a positive attitude, the General Manager will work as part of a new Senior Management structure in the successful delivery of the organisation’s mission, vision and business plan and the development and implementation of detailed strategic business plans. With a track record in ensuring the smooth operation of company business, the post holder will have particular responsibility for:
- Financial management
- Operations and administration
- Monitoring and evaluation systems
- Governance
