Impact & Partnership Development Manager (City of Literature), University of Exeter

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious leader for the new UNESCO City of Literature four year programme who will serve as the initiative’s Director, building collaborations with commercial and non-commercial organisations in the city and beyond.

The University of Exeter is a World leader in creative and cultural research and programmes with a significant range of academic, scientific and policy expertise, research and training offers.  

The successful candidate will have experience of working successfully with partners from across academic, public and private sectors and will have extensive knowledge of the literature and publishing sectors and audience engagement and development. They will:

Develop and oversee the City of Literature programme
Develop and deliver fundraising applications and campaigns across public and private sector sources to support programme development
Develop a small team to support the functions of the City of Literature Office
Work with multiple partners and networks to develop initiatives to create inspirational reading and writing, speaking and listening projects and programmes
Champion Exeter as a city of literature and as a creative city more broadly to a range of partners, stakeholders and audiences locally, regionally, nationally and globally
