Lead Creative Facilitator, OpenStoryTellers

Are you passionate about social justice and creative expression?? Do you have professional or personal experience of learning disabilities?? We are looking for an extraordinary person for an extraordinary job.

We are seeking to appoint someone to join our team supporting creative artists with learning disabilities to find and express their voice.?The successful person will be able to offer a good balance of experience between the arts and care / support work.?We are incredibly proud of our community arts day service and?have a great track record using stories, theatre, films, poetry, visual art and puppetry.?

We will provide you with a senior role facilitating our community arts day service for people with a learning disability. You will work as one of a team of three each day.

This key role supports people at OpenStoryTellers who have a learning disability to find their voice through creative expression and creates platforms to then use that voice.

Experience:
You must be able to apply one of the following three statements to your situation:
EITHER
I have professional experience of support work with people who have a learning disability and a passion for the arts OR
I have professional experience as an artist (maker, performer, musician, writer, poet, storyteller....) and life experience of the world of learning disability via friends or relatives OR
I have professional experience as an artist and as a support worker with people who have a learning disability.

It is essential that you have a driving licence.

Wednesday to Friday / Hours: 9am - 4.30pm (22.5 hrs) / Pay: £13.27/hr / This is a permanent position.
