Lead Writer Wanted – Standing In This Place Project, Writing East Midlands

Writing East Midlands is looking for a Lead Writer to plan and facilitate creative writing workshops with a chosen community group in Nottingham as part of Rachel Carter’s Standing In This Place project.
It is envisaged that this position will require a time commitment of 6 workshop sessions (2 hours each) in Nottingham from June-July. Dates are to be confirmed with a showcase in September.
The work will be collated together in a book which will be shared and distributed with a celebration event and also incorporated into the garden within which the Standing In This Place sculpture will situate as part of the overall project (https://writingeastmidlands.co.uk/event/work-opportunity-leader-writer-wanted-standing-in-this-place-project/).
It is a requirement that the writer also delivers a sharing event as part of the festival.
A fee of up to £1300 is available for the planning and delivery of the workshops and editing of the creative work (£175 per workshop plus £250 for planning, editing, and collating the work).
When applying please include: a current creative CV with relevant reference information; a letter detailing why you are interested in the project, your writing and workshop facilitation experience, and any specific experience in working with community groups; and a writing sample of up to 5 poems or 1500 words of prose.
