Lecturer in Creative Writing (Education & Research), City, University of London

The successful applicant will be a published writer in prose fiction able to fulfil teaching, research and administrative duties.

We are looking for people with expertise in one or more of the following: genre writing (particularly fantasy, SF, YA); postcolonial, global, or world literatures in English; women’s writing; digital writing.

They will contribute to excellent undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team; support and mentor students at all levels; and undertake administrative and management activities appropriate to the role level.

Launched in 2017, the Department of English is an interdisciplinary environment for the critical analysis, production and dissemination of literature and other cultural texts. The Department offers an innovative, interdisciplinary BA programme in English; MA programmes in English, Creative Writing, Publishing, International Publishing, and Creative Writing and Publishing; an MFA in Creative Writing; and a PhD in English. 

The post is full-time, part-time may be available by agreement.
