Lecturer in Creative Writing (Fiction), University of Strathclyde

University of Strathclyde is seeking to appoint a new part-time (0.5FTE) Lecturer in Creative Writing for a fixed term until 31 July 2021, to join our team within the School of Humanities.
The School of Humanities, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, is a community of researchers, teachers, students, and support staff working together on key issues in historical and contemporary culture.

We are looking for a talented, organised, creative practitioner with excellent communication skills to join our small team as we launch a taught Masters programme in academic session 2018-19. The post-holder will contribute to the design, delivery, and assessment of a range of teaching, including prose and other forms of narrative and non-fiction writing, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Candidates will have a good honours degree and a PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in a relevant discipline and should demonstrate clear research interests consistent with the strategic direction of the School of Humanities. A background in teaching Creative Writing and an excellent publication record, with the ability to contribute to REF 2020 are essential. Previous experience of curriculum development and a track record of securing external funding are desirable.
