Creative Writing at Brunel is part of the Division of English and Creative Writing, which prides itself on excellence in teaching and research. We are looking to recruit a Lecturer (Teaching and Research or Academic Education) in Creative Writing, specialising in literary fiction, to cement our reputation for teaching excellence.

Applications for this position are sought from candidates with publications and teaching experience in the area of Literary Fiction. The successful candidate will teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The individual will be able to teach and lead a number of modules, focused predominantly, though not exclusively, on literary fiction.

We are open to candidates with a range of previous experiences and can appoint candidates on either a Teaching and Research or Academic Education contract.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to contribute to leadership in pedagogic practice and delivery, and, if appointed on a research contract, to the Division’s research culture.

Candidates should have a publications record, an excellent and demonstrable track record of Creative Writing teaching, good interpersonal and relationship-building skills, together with high standards of professionalism. 

Salary: £38,017 to £49,553 per annum plus £2,166 per annum London weighting (grade H3). Full Time, Permanent  Job Ref: 442631
