The School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics wishes to appoint an outstanding teacher and practitioner in Creative Writing (Theatre Script). The appointee will take up a 0.5 FTE academic role (teaching and research).
They will contribute to teaching, learning, research and impact in the Creative Writing subject group and to administration in the School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics.
You will have completed a PhD in Creative Writing or be able to evidence equivalent experience as playwright or dramaturge in the production and/or publication of significant, rigorous and original creative writing (theatre script), and have experience of teaching theatre script at undergraduate or postgraduate level, or on equivalent professional development programmes in theatres.
You should also be able to demonstrate clear potential for making a significant contribution to the School’s and Faculty’s collaborative teaching and research culture, which includes a capacity for academic, artistic and societal impacts through publication or production, community outreach and engagement.
