The School of Arts and Humanities seeks to appoint a 0.25 permanent lecturer in Creative Writing from 1 September 2017 primarily in order to contribute to its highly successful MA in Creative Writing. Applications are sought from candidates specializing in the writing of literary fiction with further expertise in the major subject areas within Creative Writing. You will be able to demonstrate experience and expertise in teaching, curriculum design and assessment in Creative Writing, and will have the aptitude to teach to the highest standards at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Candidates must possess a commitment to teaching and learning and be able to work in a team-based context. The post-holder will be an active creative practitioner with an outstanding publication record and strong links to the publishing and creative industries. Research and writing conducted in this post will have impact beyond academia: a clear understanding of the impact agenda of the UK research councils is highly desirable.
