Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing: Writing for Young People, Bath Spa University

We are looking for published writers with university-level teaching experience to join our team to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and to contribute to the administration of modules and programmes. There are two vacancies available, a 1.0 FTE and a 0.5 FTE vacancy.
You will have experience of university-level teaching, and a demonstrable track record in publishing for children and / or young people, a clear understanding of the market for children’s books, and of the contexts within which children and young people read and make choices about what to read.
You will make a key contribution to our highly successful Masters programme in Writing for Young People, and to undergraduate teaching.
You will be comfortable in working in interdisciplinary teams, and willing to explore the potential connections between your own areas' expertise and those of your colleagues.
Creative writing is well-established at Bath Spa University with a large undergraduate programme, which includes combinations with subjects such as Publishing and English Literature, five taught MA programmes and a successful PhD Creative Writing programme.
