Participation Co-ordinator, The Story Museum
Deadline: Mon 12 Nov 2018
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with previous experience of working in the context of cultural and/or community engagement and with a keen appetite for brokering, developing and sustaining relationships with diverse groups.

The Story Museum’s vision is to enrich lives, especially young lives, through story. Our mission is to achieve this by developing a most unusual museum that collects and shares great ways of engaging with great stories.

As our new home takes shape in the centre of Oxford, we are engaged in a series of outreach activities to build our audience and participants, extend access and deepen our community, heritage and cultural partnerships.

The Participation Co-ordinator will be instrumental in making the most of the contacts and interest generated by our current outreach and peripatetic programme, building relationships and ensuring that the voices of new and excluded groups and participants help shape all aspects of the Museum’s operations and programming post reopening.

We welcome applications from groups currently under-represented in the cultural sector workforce; particularly individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities and who reflect the audiences with whom we will be working.

This is a permanent part-time role (3 days per week) with a pro rata salary of £20,000-£22,000. This post is supported by Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
