Programme Officer, Brontë Parsonage Museum, The Brontë Society
Deadline: Mon 1 Nov 2021
We’re looking for a dynamic individual to lead on the development and delivery of the renowned and respected arts and events programme at the Brontë Parsonage Museum.

The Brontë Parsonage Museum houses the world’s largest collection of Brontë artefacts and welcomes over 70,000 visitors of all ages and backgrounds from all over the world each year. We are proud to be an Arts Council NPO and one of Yorkshire's must-see destinations.

The successful applicant will work closely with Museum colleagues to commission, develop and deliver new and innovative arts projects, events and activities. Building on the success of collaborations with Frank Cottrell Boyce, Zaffar Kunial and Layla Khoo, our annual Brontë Festival of Women’s Writing and our Brontë Lounge series of online events, you will collaborate with artists and external partners to devise fresh and exciting ways to access and work with the Museum’s accredited, world-class collection and explore new ways of reaching audiences and offering opportunities for participation.

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for museums and the arts and a belief in the positive impact they can have on lives and wellbeing. You will also have experience of programming within the cultural or heritage sector and experience of commissioning new work and activity from artists.
