Project Co-ordinator and Evaluator, Archives Alive, QueenSpark Books

QueenSpark Books, the UK's longest-running community publisher, is seeking a Project Co-ordinator and an Evaluator for its Heritage Lottery Funded project Archives Alive. This is a two year project that will develop innovative online and offline initiatives in order to increase public accessibility to, engagement with, and enhancement of, QueenSpark's archive and related material.
The Project Co-ordinator will be employed to lead on the day-to-day delivery of the project, as described in the Project Plan.
Essential Experience Required:
• A demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse community of individuals and organisations
• Experience in liaison and networking with a range of freelance workers, partners and organisations, and media outlets
• Evidence of success in team leadership and recruiting, motivating and supporting volunteers
• Experience of organising events
• Experience of community history research and participatory projects
• Proven understanding of Wordpress and locative media/web technology
• An understanding of print publishing
• Preparation of written reports and liaison with funding bodies
• Evidence of successful project management
The post will include office and remote working in and around Brighton.
Period of employment: August 2018 – May 2020
Fee: £31680, consisting of 8 days per month x 22 months @ £180.00 per day/£24.00 per hour.
