Project Manager, Scottish PEN

Scottish PEN is seeking a capable and imaginative project manager to lead our campaigning on free expression & human rights including defamation reform, digital rights & protecting at-risk writers.
Criteria:
- Professional experience or interest in issues related to free expression, press freedom, journalism, activism and human rights.
- Knowledge of the policy-making and legislation processes in Scotland and the broader UK.
- Interest in the literature, arts and culture sector in Scotland.
- Experience developing, delivering and managing events and public engagement initiatives.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office programmes, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
Working Patterns: This post is 21 hours per week – over three days. The role is based at the Scottish PEN office in central Edinburgh, although working from home is an option and can be negotiated.
Remuneration:
This post is advertised at NICVA NJC Spine 31 – £17,271.00 p.a. for 21 hours p.w. based on £28,785 p.a. FT. The contract will run until 31st December 2020 but can be extended based on future funding.
