Teaching Associate - Creative Writing (part-time), University of Cambridge - Institute of Continuing Education

We wish to appoint one part-time Teaching Associate at 0.5 FTE to contribute to the flourishing and rapidly developing portfolio of award-bearing and short course creative writing programmes. The role will be available from 01 October 2024.
The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) delivers high quality and distinctive education for adult learners on a part-time basis, for personal enrichment or professional development. ICE aims to ensure that the expertise and resources of the University of Cambridge are made available to all students, irrespective of their previous educational achievements.
The ideal candidate will be a writer with an established record of productions, films, and/or publication who has broad experience of teaching creative writing for performance at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We seek applicants who write for screen (film and television), stage and radio.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of contributing to curriculum design and assessment in creative writing. Experience of teaching adults and mature students is desirable and a commitment to lifelong learning essential.
Ideally, they will have a higher degree, preferably a doctoral-level in a relevant specialist subject area, and a track record of recent productions, films, and/or publications.
