Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing (Fiction), University College Dublin
Deadline: Mon 21 Jan 2019
UCD invites applications for a Temporary Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing (Fiction) within UCD School of English Drama and Film. Applicants must be established and experienced writers with a strong record of publication and be able to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this rapidly developing area in the School.

The post is primarily a fiction post but we would be particularly interested in applicants who could contribute to prose or poetry and at least one other area. This might include memoir and life writing, genre fiction, creative non-fiction, travel writing and young adult fiction.

Experience of teaching and examining prose fiction at undergraduate and postgraduate level is required.

Creative Writing at UCD is characterised by its strong links with high profile individual writers and with arts organisations in Dublin, Ireland and beyond. The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to these links, and play a part in sustaining a programme that brought visiting writers to the campus for readings and to interact with students.

Temporary (8 months to August 2019) Fixed Salary: €36,000 per annum (Job Ref: 011130)
