Tutor Opportunity (Creative Writing and Life Writing), Bishopsgate Institute
Deadline: Mon 19 Aug 2019
Bishopsgate Institute runs a learning programme for adults comprising courses, workshops, masterclasses and other classes. Looking ahead to the Spring Term 2020 (January to April), we are planning to add courses in creative writing and life writing to our programme.

These practical sessions will be aimed at students with little or no experience of creative or life writing. They will provide students with the tools to write, including practical writing exercises.

The creative writing course should be a broad introduction to a range of different storytelling forms, both fiction and non-fiction, so that students have an opportunity to experiment with various approaches to writing.

The life writing course should introduce students to different facets of life writing – memoir, personal essays, biography, creative non-fiction, family histories – and help them to generate creative ideas for their own written projects.

Classes will take place on weekday evenings, with each session running for two hours. Each course will run for six weeks in total.
