Writer, Chadwick's Charity
Deadline: Mon 16 Oct 2017
Chadwick’s Charity is celebrating its 150th Anniversary in June 2018 and is looking for a professional writer to create a new piece of drama for the final gala performance.
We are working with recipients of grants from the charity to put together a gala and are looking for a professional writer with experience of working with young people, who will be leading the project, and have an interest in working with historical documents to draw out tales and stories.

The work will be 30 minutes in length and the writer will work with the Yr6 children in workshops to gather material and support and enhance their ideas. The writer will have full responsibility for writing the 30 minute piece.

We are looking for someone who has a track record of working with children to create excellent art and who will be excited to work with five different schools in creating a section of the drama for each. They must also be willing to collaborate with a wider team including a composer on one or two songs for the drama.

We especially welcome expressions of interest from writers local to or with a link to Bolton and the surrounding area.

For more information about the charity, please contact Amy Liptrott at

Closing date: Monday 16 October 2017 at 5pm

The fee paid will be £3000 inclusive.
