It’s envisaged that the successful candidate will deliver some outreach workshops that interact with Lighthouse’s seasonal programme and will also be willing to creatively engage with the venue and its history to produce new work reflective of the residency.

As well as being a talented writer, the Writer in Residence will be a confident speaker and advocate for the potential of performance and writing to enrich and transform lives.

An honorarium of £5000 accompanies the position, based on a commitment of one day per week over a 48 week period. A publishing contract will also be included as part of this post.

This is an excellent portfolio opportunity for a writer to raise their public profile and to gain valuable experience working in an environment that champions the arts and engages with creative communities.
