Writer of 6 years (although I do remember writing when young and dabbling with limericks in my 20s, and have always had my head in a book) and am passionate (live and breathe) about the craft, having studied under the tutorledge of Sally Spedding (whose writing group I took over in March 2008), Judith Allnatt, Sue Moorcroft, Joanna Barnden and Myra Schneider.
In March 2010, I added a writing workshop arm to the existing critique group (the latter of which consistently runs at capacity).
I write fiction; mainly short stories with some poetry and to-date have written four novels (three for NaNoWriMo's novel in a month project; varying from 51,300 to 117,540 words in the 30 days of November).
Most recently I launched a free online podcast entitled 'Bailey's Writing Tips' in August 2010, under my pseudonym Morgen Bailey, which contains an average of 5-6 episodes per month including a monthly interview with interviewees booked until/including May 2011. I am always seeking writers (published or otherwise) who would like to be interviewed for the podcast - I do not pay but I also do not charge for the publicity!
I also provide a critique service for members of my writing group and other writers who need a second opinion.
I also submit to magazines and competitions in the UK and overseas and have won a Ripping Pages poetry competition, been shortlisted in the Veralum Writers' Circle 'Get Writing' Competition 2010, won the Northampton Writers' Group Members-Only Short Story Competition 2010 and was shortlisted in the Writers' News magazine's Short Story Competition in October 2010. Two articles are due to appear in the February 2011 NAWG's Link Magazine.
