Teaching approaches when writing from the real

- A European Course for Teachers of Creative Writing

Brief description

This three days course, designed by the European Association of Creative Writing Programmes (EACWP), gathers together a selection of our most expert European teachers, who will share their different methodologies, approaches and experiences in the teaching of Creative Writing. A European pedagogical dialogue focused on “writing from the real”, considering reality within literary creation as a common thread, nurtured by a diversity of disciplines and techniques within a multicultural setting.

Methodology

Through a series of practical workshops and lectures, during the morning sessions three different European teachers will share their experiences and methodological approaches to the teaching of creative writing when writing from the real. In the afternoons, participants will take part in workshop sharing sessions. The participants are invited to share a model of workshop and will receive pedagogical feedback from the group and the teachers.

Place

Resembling a chateau extracted from a Maupassant's novel, Moulin d’Ande´ is a cultural association from the 12th century located in Normandy, on the Seine soars, devoted to fostering the arts and the literary creation. Thanks to its owner Suzzane Lipinska, the place became an artistic residence, where worldwide writers such as George Perec have been hosted and developed their literary works.

From Monday, 10th of July to Thursday 13th

Arrivals scheduled on Sunday, 9th and departures on Thursday 13th.

Price

1150 € (4 nights accommodation in shared rooms, meals and the three days course included.)

1300 € (4 nights accommodation in individual rooms, meals and the three days course included.)

Certification

The European Association of Creative Writing Programmes (EACWP) will expend a certification to all attendants.
