Worcestershire County Council is looking to appoint an Arts Development Assistant to work within its County Arts Service
We are looking for someone who is a good project manager and who is passionate in using the arts to improve the lives of people in Worcestershire.
You need to be confident and knowledgeable in meeting artists and arts organisations and also have a good understanding of the needs of the sector while at the same time understanding and meeting the needs of the County Council.
These are exciting times to join the Arts Service, The County has launched a new arts strategy " 1000 days" and there are several exciting initiatives coming up including working with the Criminal Justice System, showcasing new writing and using the arts to improve health and well-being outcomes. This work is being undertaken through the Worcestershire Arts Partnership. The 1000 days action plan will form a key part of your own work plan and it is important that you understand and recognise the value of partnership working as well as the role of the
arts in delivering on cross-cutting services. One of your key roles will be to assist the delivery of Voices and Visions, our Children and Young People Programme and thus we would expect you to have a real interest and experience in working with children and young people both in an educational and informal setting.
