The University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Creative and Professional Writing. This is a 0.4 part-time role that will help to expand the Department’s creative writing provision
Desirable specialisms might include, but are not restricted to, drama, screenwriting, creative non-fiction, fiction and/or publishing.
The successful applicant will have a strong publication and/or performance record for their writing and substantial contacts in relevant creative industries, with an ability to foster links between external partners and the University (e.g. in the development of student placements).
The postholder will be expected to contribute to existing undergraduate teaching and to assist in the development of new units at BA and MA level.
The successful candidate will have either experience of teaching in the higher education sector or substantial experience of tutoring or workshop facilitation in another relevant context.
There will be opportunities to participate in a number of Faculty-wide activities and networks related to the creative arts. Current clusters relevant to this post include Book Cultures, Global Feminisms, and Black Arts and Humanities.
