The School of Arts and Humanities seeks to appoint a 0.5 permanent Lecturer in Creative Writing from 1 September 2017. Applications are sought from candidates specializing in the following: scriptwriting, writing for stage, screen and radio, and Creative Writing more generally. You will be able to demonstrate experience and expertise in teaching, curriculum design and assessment in Creative Writing and within your own specialist area, and will have the aptitude to teach to the highest standards at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

Candidates must possess a commitment to teaching and learning and be able to work in a team-based context. The post-holder will be an active creative practitioner with a strong publication/production record and a background in research. Evidence of the ability to publish in top international journals will be an advantage. Writing and research conducted in this post will be encouraged to have impact beyond academia: a clear understanding of the impact agenda of the UK research councils is highly desirable.
