Literature Development in Rural Areas
Thu 17 Oct 2002
Sue Ashby has been commissioned by NALD to run a Training Day for Literature Development Specialists working in a rural setting and would welcome your help in compiling a list of current best practice projects in your area.
The primary aim of the training day is to provide an overview of the current issues involved in literature development in rural areas. The day will give participants the opportunity to skill-share and also learn from best practice examples of developments in other art forms _ visual arts, drama, film, dance _ as well as cross-arts projects which include literature. The training day will take place on February 4th 2003.

Sue is intending to audio-record and/or invite practitioners to participate in the training day and would therefore appreciate an early reply to this request. If you know of anyone who has been involved in rural arts projects would you be kind enough to send them a copy of these documents.

Attached is a brief questionnaire which won't take up too much of your time to complete and return. If you'd prefer to fill this in electronically please email Sue and she will send it to you. I look forward to hearing from you.
