Volunteer Coordinator
The volunteer coordinator will be responsible for the training and support of existing and future members.

This position is unpaid

The volunteer coordinator will be responsible for the training and support of existing and future members. This role will include: Asssessing, evaluating and monitoring the organisation's need for volunteers and sebsequent structure, maintaining the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers, building and retaining a volunteer database and adapting current practices to align with relevant legislation and policy.                             

Requirements: High interpersonal and communicative skills, along with an understanding of current volunteer policy.                                                       

Blank Media Collective (BMC) is an artist-led, not-for-profit organisation established in 2006 and is run from Manchester by a dedicated team of volunteers. The organisation is developing an excellent reputation for the high quality of its output. BMC are proud to offer a vital support network to hundreds of creative practitioners from throughout the UK and abroad as well as its base in the North-West.

The three month voluntary roles, (with a minimum expectancy of 8 hours a week) offer participants the opportunity to advance their current skills, provide experience of working with an arts organisation, along with mentoring and support from our established team, thus gaining an edge within the competitive arts industry.

Working as an volunteer with BMC can provide a direct opportunity for the individual to progress and take up a permanent role within the organisation.
