MA Television Fiction Writing
The course was devised by industry experts SHED Productions (Waterloo Road, Bad Girls, Footballers’ Wives) and Glasgow Caledonian University and is the UK's only MA degree in writing for television.
Lead by experienced television writers Ann Marie Di Mambro (Eastenders, Casualty) and Chris Dolan (Taggart, River City), the one year course is tailored to creating industry-ready television writers.
Students will hone their writing skills and develop an awareness of the television industry through lectures and workshops lead by media and television professionals.
They will also develop a deep practical knowledge of writing both original and commissioned scripts, a black book full of crucial contacts as well as industry standard calling card scripts.
Successful students will also benefit from a year with one of London’s top agencies, McFarlane Chard & Co, sponsored by Shed Productions.
Applicants must be able to provide a sample of their writing (short stories, extracts from plays or novels will be accepted), although these do not have to be published or performed.
Applications will be considered until the end of August.
This opportunity is available in: Glasgow City
