Earning Your Living as a Writer in Education and Community Settings

Do you want to combine running workshops with people and a writing career? Are you on a Creative Writing MA or have you recently graduated? This workshop aims to explore the various ways of earning a living through working in educational or community settings and will cover the basics of what you need to develop your skills. Please note the change of venue.
Guest speakers will discuss their own career paths in these fields. The workshop will be practical, participatory and give you a chance to network with other writers in the same situation as yourself in an informal and friendly setting.

Writing West Midlands <www.writingwestmidlands.org> is the Literature Development and Delivery Agency for the West Midlands. It manages Write On! (their writing education programme), the Birmingham Book Festival (their festival and year-round events programme) and The Writers' Toolkit (their writer-networking programme).
Facilitators: Anne Caldwell, Jonathan Davidson and guest writers.
Fee: £35; £20 NAWE members. Lunch is not provided but there is a café on site.
