Author and journalist Maria McCarthy will be running a workshop on How to Get Your Book or Journalism Published at Exeter Phoenix on Saturday 10th March 2012, 2-4pm, £8 – it will cover developing feature ideas, approaching editors, getting an agent, being edited, copyright issues, how advances and royalties work etc.
Maria writes for The Daily Telegraph, Good Housekeeping and Cosmopolitan and has had 2 non-fiction books published by Simon and Schuster. She also teaches at Bristol and Oxford Brookes Universities.
