Saturday Morning Writing Club: From Seed to Story
Sat 25 Oct 2014 to Sat 15 Nov 2014
Grarrgghhg there’s an idea scratching around in your head but how do you shake it out of your ear and on to the page?

How do you take your yeasty idea and turn it into golden story ale? How can you quench the idea-thirst from the jewel encrusted story goblet? Turn your idea itch into a fully fledged attack of story dermatitis? This four week series is for you…

Week 1: What should you write about? What to do if you only have one phrase or one character or one weird little village in the Chilterns running around your head endlessly? Where do you even *begin*?

Week 2: Never mind where to start, where does it all end? An exploration of why stories start at the start and end at the end and where your story needs to go and stop.

Week 3: Getting from the beginning to the end via the middle. A whistlestop tour of causality and structure.

Week 4: A plan, a plan! We’ve got a plan!! Wait, what? How do we make a plan?

This workshop is suitable for: beginners who aren’t sure where to begin, or regular writers who want to try a new approach to writing.

To bring: a pen and paper.

Time:
 9.30am – 10.30am

Location: The Thieves’ Kitchen, Warwick Street, Worthing
