The Writers' Toolkit 2014
Sat 29 Nov 2014 to Sat 29 Nov 2014
The Writers’ Toolkit is an annual writer networking conference for emerging and established writers

Run by Writing West Midlands, the region’s literature development agency, the conference takes place over one day and offers writers the pick of sixteen sessions with industry professionals. The conference is a wonderful opportunity for writers to meet, share ideas and make new contacts.

Speakers include agents, editors, publishers, writers, broadcasters, producers, academics and other industry professionals.

Confirmed speakers: Mandy Ross (children’s writer), Lucy Wood (The Poetry Society), Rukhsana Yasmin (Jacaranda Books), William Gallagher (writer), Rose Fenton (Freeword Centre), Alan Mahar (former editor, Tindal Street Press), Jo Bell (poet, UK Canal Laureate), Richard Hirst (writer, artist, Curious Tales), Mahendra Solanki (writer, psychotherapist), as well as representatives from the BBC, The Writers’ Guild, The Royal Literary Fund and many more.
