British Council’s Arts team is in the process of transforming its digital presence, including implementation of a new arts digital showcasing programme and the development of a more targeted, high-impact digital product portfolio

The Arts digital vision is to establish the British Council as an online destination and gateway to UK arts, showcasing the best of our work, building audiences and supporting international artistic collaboration.

The Arts Digital, Marketing and Communications team’s remit is to increase awareness, understanding of and support for the British Council’s cultural relations work with key arts professional audiences globally, but particularly in the UK, by providing engaging content through British Council networks. It’s essential that we ensure that content reflects both the requirements and preferences of our audiences and the strategic direction of the British Council.

This small team of 5 (alongside Head of Digital, Head of Marketing and Communications, Digital Programme Manager, and Digital Communications Officer) works closely with the various Arts, Digital, Marketing and Communications teams across the British Council’s global network to provide the British Council’s global Arts content, both on and offline, internal and external.
