Deadline: Sun 27 Mar 2016
Attracting over 25 million visits a year, Southbank Centre passionately believes the arts have the power to transform lives

Our vision is to be the world’s most inspiring centre for the arts and to create the world’s leading festival site offering millions of people the opportunity to enjoy, learn and take part. Today our artistic policy is designed around a year-round cycle of festivals based on a range of themes and subjects which span all art forms.

We are looking for an experienced Editor (Digital) to project manage the editorial component of putting Southbank Centre events online; provide authoritative guidance regarding Southbank Centre’s tone of voice; and to edit and generate inspirational copy that helps tell the wider stories around Southbank Centre’s festivals and promotes our programme through online channels.  Working with the Senior Editor, wider Marketing Campaigns team and Digital teams, the Editor (Digital) will help to ensure that a clear and consistent house style is maintained across print and digital channels.

With demonstrable previous experience of working on print and digital publications and providing copy specifically written for digital channels; the ideal candidate will have strong editing, proofreading and fact-checking skills and a creative flair for writing copy. You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in your ability to liaise with a broad spectrum of people in a diplomatic manner and a strong grasp of English grammar. You will be ready to combine your past experience, skills with a general knowledge of or interest in the arts to support the Southbank Centre Marketing team in promoting our unique and dynamic festival programme.

We celebrate diversity in our programming, our audiences and our team. By attracting people to work for us from a broad range of backgrounds with diverse attitudes, opinions and beliefs we can continue to deliver the kind of exciting events and activities you would expect from the Southbank Centre.
