Lecturer in Creative Writing (Poetry)

A record of quality publications is essential, as is the potential to contribute to the management and further development of Creative Writing teaching at Newcastle University

You will have the experience needed to contribute to teaching across both undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes, and to supervise PhDs. A record of quality publications is essential, as is the potential to contribute to the management and further development of Creative Writing teaching at Newcastle.

In addition, you will be a member of the Newcastle Centre for the Literary Arts, a university research centre based in the School. The NCLA carries out research into creative and cultural engagement and maintains a high profile events programme and has an extensive archive of readings and performances. We would welcome applications from candidates who can see opportunities to promote and exploit these resources for research and teaching.

You must possess a PhD in relevant subject, as well as teaching experience at undergraduate, and postgraduate level in relevant area.
