The Council is now recruiting for the final year of Stockport’s Heritage Skills for the Future project

This is funded from the Heritage Lottery Fund under the national Skills for the Future Programme which aims to provide new work based training opportunities for people looking to start a career in heritage. The paid training placements are fixed term for 12 months and it is anticipated that the placements will begin in March/April 2015.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain a wide range of hands-on experience and develop new skills in heritage libraries & archives. You will be involved in supporting a range of projects whilst gaining practical skills and experience.

To help you gain employment, there will be additional opportunities to acquire generic workplace and employability skills through the Council’s in-house training courses.
