Pastoral Care Officer
Deadline: Sat 30 Apr 2016
Mouthy Poets is a young and growing organisation, which, up until this point, has been fuelled by the passion of a small and largely voluntary team

The Mouthy Poets are an open community collective of approximately fifty 15-30 year olds, meeting on a weekly basis where they learn writing, editing, performance and event- coordination skills. Mouthy is a young and growing organisation, which, up until this point, has been fuelled by the passion of a small and largely voluntary team.

In the midst of completing our third successful Grants for the Arts, Arts Council funding bid, this role represents our understanding of the personal aspects our young people often choose to use to fuel their writing as well as the rare safe space we provide, often leaving us as the point of contact for pastoral issues. The Pastoral Care Officer, outlined below, will enable the successful candidate to play a vital hand in a growing organisation supporting the 50+ young people within the collective. You will be joining Mouthy at an exciting time in its growth as it continues to reach young people through workshops, performances and research.
