Our mission is to equip young people with the knowledge and tools they need to be leaders of their own lives and communities. Our work is in no way exclusive, however, we currently have a focus on supporting young women from low-income and minority ethnic backgrounds aged 11 to 19.

Person Specification;

This post is ideal for an individual with experience working within educational establishments e.g. schools, colleges, local authority groups or academy networks. Perhaps you are a former teacher passionate about education but wishing to apply your skills and experience to a more strategic role. Or perhaps you have experience working with a charity or social enterprise in a similar position, but you’re now looking for a new challenge.

You will have well-established links with schools and other educational establishments, which you are willing to apply to this role. You will also have a good understanding of school operations, timetables and internal structures, which will help you to be successful within this position.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, persistent, organised, good-humoured and will relish the opportunity of working in a young, dynamic organisation. S/he will be an outgoing individual who would enjoy being a passionate advocate and ambassador for Beyond the Classroom and the impact we have on young people.

You will thrive in a small, creative and resourceful team and be willing to work flexibly within your role.  If you share our vision for an education system more reactive to contemporary issues and would like the opportunity to work with a small, progressive, proactive and exciting social organisation, this could be the role for you!
