We are delighted to formally launch this year's Basil Bunting Poetry Award and to announce that our judge is W.N. Herbert
There will be a first prize of £1000, a second prize of £750 and third prize of £250. The entry fee is £6 for one poem, £10 for two poems and an extra £5 per poem beyond that. The maximum number of entries per poet is 10.
The closing date is
15th January 2015 and further details, including submission information and competition rules, are now available on the
NCLA website. The results will be announced in March 2015.
This year is the first time that NCLA will be running the Award, which was created six years ago by Bunting's former son-in-law John Halliday.
