The Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets are designed to raise the profile of poetry pamphlets. There are two awards: The Michael Marks Poetry Award recognises an outstanding work of poetry published in pamphlet form in the UK during 2011, while The Michael Marks Publishers’ Award recognises an outstanding UK publisher of poetry in pamphlet form, based on their publishing programme in 2010. Both awards are worth £5,000 to the winner, plus the poet of the winning pamphlet will also become Harvard University’s Michael Marks poet in residence at its summer school in Greece.
