I'm an award winning writer and visual artist based in Norfolk, England. My work explores natural and built environments and our responses to them. I teach workshops in poetry writing and creative practice.
Alongside my own work, I collaborate with artists and researchers who share an interest in ecology and documentary studies. If you'd like to work together on a project, or if you need a good writer to help you apply for grant funding, please get in touch.
Background: I have 15 years of international teaching experience as a university lecturer in English. In 2014, after returning to England, I developed Poetry Outside, a consultancy providing literary arts programming to heritage and conservation organisations. As a copy writer and manuscript editor for commercial, literary and academic projects, I understand how to write well and meet deadlines. I've helped many writers and students to set goals, stay the course and achieve success. My writing is widely published in magazines and journals in the UK, Canada and the US, including pieces in Verse Daily, New England Review, Rotary Dial, Antiphon, Magma and Granta.
