I've published three books of poems, with one more in the pipeline.
I visit poetry groups and schools all over the country giving workshops and readings.
I'm a qualified teacher, with many years' experience of teaching writing in schools and in adult and higher education.
As well as poems, my publications include:
West African Stories - shortlisted for Kurt Maschler award, 2000;
anthologies of poetry for children, retellings of myth and legend, and history, two books on teaching, Behind the Poem "A marvellous book" David Holbrook, and The Language Gap, "A classic of theory grounded in first-hand classroom observation" TES.
'Bob Hull's workshop was like signing up with an experienced skipper..to explore sometimes familiar, sometimes new and uncharted waters, always with his sure hand at the wheel...I'd sign on again because I know it would be a different voyage but every bit as delightful.' Stephen Sage, Project Manager for Education, Kent Arts and Libraries.

Robert Hull came to our school for 4 days for the week starting 12th June 2006. We are a junior school with 360 children in years 3 to 6.
Robert planned and carried out a wide range of poetry activities with every class. He comprehensively engaged the children; who really enjoyed the workshops which were well paced, funny and exciting. The imagination of the children and staff was fired up by the visit which has continued to feed through into the children's writing.
Thank you for the visit and we would recommend you to any school who would like to see their children inspired and enthused to write poetry.

Bob Hull has regularly delighted the eclectic audiences of Tongues and Grooves Poetry and Music nights in Portsmouth. His wry and thought provoking poems arise out of his observations of the idiosyncrasies and peccadilloes of life. Bob can address serious issues with a warmth and naturalness that appeals to children of all ages.
