Writers' Centre Norwich: How Far Do You Go? Creating the world of your novel with Kate Worsley
Sat 2 Dec 2017
Discover new ways to bring your research to life in this day workshop for aspiring or emerging fiction writers

When it comes to writing historical fiction, when does the research end and imagination begin? How do you find the perfect balance between the two? Discover new ways to bring your research to life, create a believable sense of time and place, and give yourself the freedom to imagine with this day workshop for aspiring or emerging fiction writers.

Award-winning writer and former journalist Kate Worsley will guide you through the process of getting the most out of different historical sources and using these to animate the world of your writing.

Limited availability – this workshop will have a maximum of 15 participants to ensure an intimate learning environment.

Kate Worsley began writing her 18th-century seafaring novel She Rises (Bloomsbury, 2013) while she was studying on the MA in Creative Writing (Novels) at City University London. It won the 2014 HWA Debut Crown for new Historical Fiction and the 2015 New Angles Prize for Literature.
