We understand and acknowledge that this is a worrying time for everyone, especially for those relying on events, workshops and commissions for their income. We are actively talking with the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, the Society of Authors, Arts Council England, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Arts Council of Wales, and Creative Scotland about how we can best support our members and other freelance writers during this period of uncertainty.
At this stage, we have no plans to cancel the NAWE Conference on 13, 14 & 15 November 2020. The call for proposals closes on 1st May and we look forward to receiving them.
However, we will continue to monitor the situation and act on advice from the UK government and the World Health Organisation, regarding latest measures and precautions in relation to Covid-19 and we will keep you informed of any changes to our plans.
The whole NAWE team continues to work remotely on behalf of members and writers. Please do get in touch if you have any concerns and we will do our best to help and support.
