Full programme online for NAWE's first ever virtual conference

A packed programme of 50+ events including workshops, panels, talks and readings across the themes of teaching creative writing, wellbeing and practice research, plus lots of special events, is lined up for WHAT NEXT? Writing in Education and Communities in 2021 and Beyond, Friday 12 and Saturday 13 March 2021, Online via Zoom.

Highlights include:

CONFERENCE LAUNCH On Friday morning, we’re delighted to have a creative welcome from Daljit Nagra, poet and chair of the Royal Society of Literature. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Mairi Kidd, new Chief Executive of Seven Stories, Richard Russell, Chief Operating Officer of Arts Council England, and NAWE’s chair Jonathan Davidson to consider where we are and what next for our sector.

UK ARTS COUNCILS LITERATURE PANEL discussing the landscape, challenges and opportunities facing our sector

UK POETRY NETWORK IN CONVERSATION: Poetry's Not for You - Poetry's for Everyone

BREAKFAST POEMS with The Poetry Business

FUNDING FOR WRITERS workshop with Jonathan Davidson

PLUS a host of talks, panels and workshops from writers, facilitators and researchers from across our sector and membership.

All sessions are being recorded and will be available for delegates to watch after the conference until Friday 14 May 2021.

This conference promises to be a moment to celebrate and look ahead with fellow writers working in education and community settings from around the UK and internationally.
