Cut a Long Story launches a new campaign against VAT on ebooks.
Cut a Long Story is a community developed by writers for writers. The writers include; Derek Neale, Helen Stockton, Tania Hershman, and Prue Leith.

UK Government Treasury (HMRC) charges 20% VAT on e-Books!
Across the EU, VAT is charged simply by referring to the creative output in an e-book as “a program download”. Despite the fact that traditional books are, quite correctly, VAT exempt.
Join the CAVe campaign!
We intend to force UK Central Government to disregard the EU, and unilaterally remove VAT from the sale of e-books.
Together we will create a huge e-petition which we will use to force HM Treasury to take action.
