NAWE appoints new Publications & Editorial Manager
Wed 9 Oct 2019
The National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE) is pleased to announce a new Publications & Editorial Manager to oversee both our print magazine, Writing in Education, and our online scholarly journal, Writing in Practice.

Jonathan Davidson, Chair of NAWE, said:
“We are very pleased to announce that Lisa Koning has been appointed as our new Publications & Editorial Manager. Lisa has a great deal of experience in both the Higher Education sector and in communications and we are looking forward to her developing our two publications, Writing in Education and Writing in Practice. I know Lisa will be making contact with NAWE members over the next few months and that she is looking forward to your ideas and submissions.”

Seraphima Kennedy, Director of NAWE, said:
‘We are thrilled to announce the successful recruitment of our new Publications & Editorial Manager. Out of a very strong field, our interview panel appointed writer/lecturer/teacher Lisa Koning in September. Since then, we have enjoyed working with Lisa to set a future path for both our publications. Lisa will be at the NAWE Conference in November, running 1-2-1 Editorial sessions for delegates who’d like to find out more about how to contribute to our publications, and consulting on changes to the look and feel of the magazine."

Lisa Koning, Publications & Editorial Manager, NAWE, said:
"I am delighted to be joining the NAWE team. As a lecturer/teacher, academic and practising writer, I quickly became well acquainted with both Writing in Education and Writing in Practice. High quality and thought-provoking articles and papers are at the heart of NAWE's publications, and I look forward to continuing in this tradition. Both publications are there to support our members, and your feedback is important. As your Editor, you’ll hear more from me shortly - but in the meantime, if you have any suggestions, please do get in touch by emailing publications@nawe.co.uk.”
